Town Hall Gardens, Lord Street, Southport

This Easter weekend, Lord Street will be transformed into an open air ballroom as we welcome French theatre company Transe Express to town! This breathtaking show will travel through 150 years of music and dance all underneath a 12m wide chandelier stage.

This is a show that has to be seen to be believed.

Consent & Show

Cristal Palace is a free, non‑ticketed, family‑friendly event that tells the story of 150 years of dance and music through a dazzling 90‑minute spectacle.

Join us on Lord Street witness an extraordinary fusion of music, aerial performance, and visual theatre, with a jaw‑dropping 12‑metre‑wide chandelier forming part of the show’s dramatic staging.

Transe Express, renowned worldwide for their spectacular large‑scale outdoor productions, will be joined by more than 30 local performers from Southport and the Liverpool City Region - including 20 young dancers - who will present a specially created section choreographed by Liverpool-based Chorographer, Grace Goulding.

There will be no on‑site food or drink vendors at the event, so we recommend booking a table in town before or after your visit to Cristal Palace.

Access to Cristal Palace

Access to the outdoor ballroom at Town Hall Gardens will open from 18:00, with the performance running from 19:30 to 21:00.

Audiences should enter the ballroom via entrances on Lord Street.
